Friends,

Thanks to Joan Gruszkowski and the good folks of St. Mary's Church (corner
of State and Elm Streets in Northampton) we will have a potluck supper to
greet and thank the walkers of the Nipponzan Peace Pagoda. It will be held
in the (cool) basement of St. Mary's and will begin at 5:30pm. After
supper (7:15pm), walkers and those gathered will process to Smith College's
Paradise Pond for the lantern floating ceremony (with incredibly beautiful
music from cellist Stephen Katz). Anti-nuclear materials will be available
detailing efforts from closing VT Yankee to Mayors for Peace. It's all
free and accessible. If you come to the supper, please bring something to
share. Children are most welcome and usually love to light the lanterns
and put them in the water.

The full walk schedule and event announcement appear below.

Peace,

Jo
