Greetings Friends,

I would just like to let you know that the steering committee for the Valley 
Anti-Racist Organizers' Summit, which will be on April 30th, has now had two 
powerful meetings.  Some of you may already be involved in the organizing, 
while others are planning to attend the summit.  Either way, we would really 
appreciate any assistance you can provide with the following things:

*OUTREACH
*PROGRAMMING


THREE THINGS TO CONSIDER

FIRST:

As we agreed, April 30th is going to be a summit where key local anti-racist 
organizers will come together to develop a larger vision & plan for systemic 
change in our community.  WHO ARE THOSE KEY PEOPLE?? This is where you come 
in.  WE NEED NAMES, CONTACTS, EMAIL ADDRESSES, whatever you have, so that we 
can send a SAVE THE DATE card to your people next week.

PLEASE STOP, TAKE A LOOK AT YOUR ADDRESS BOOK, and send any such information 
to Sofia Binioris - Outreach Rep. at sbiniori at student.umass.edu


SECOND:

I've attached the proposed Program for April 30th.  Please read it and send 
SESSION/WORKSHOP topics to Elaina Ellis at eellis at comcol.umass.edu

THIRD:

If you've gotten to the end of this email, THANK YOU FOR BEING THE COMMITTED 
AND POWERFUL PERSON THAT YOU ARE!  I'll be away at the Stop Violence Against 
Women of Color conference in New Orleans, from March 10th-16th, but you can 
always contact Elaina Ellis, or any of the subcommittee group reps.  We are 
all in this together.
