[Antiracism] Deadline Extended - 4/20!

Greetings Friends,

Thank you to all who have sent us applications for "The Struggle Continues!" 
Dismantling Racism in the Valley Organizing Summit.

We are excited about the number of people who have expressed interest in the 
Summit, and about the feedback we've gotten through the forms. We also realize 
that not everyone uses email as a medium of communication.  To allow us more 
time to do personal and other types of outreach, ensuring we reach our original 
goal of having a diverse participant body, where race, class, age, geographical 
location, work, interest, skill, experience and organizational affiliation are 
concerned, we agreed as an organizing committee to extend the deadline to 
Wednesday April 20th.

REASONS WHY WE HAVE AN APPLICATION SYSTEM:

* To ensure we have as diverse a representation of participants as possible - 
this will in turn strengthen the networks we create.
* To give us the time to figure out logistics and provide services we've 
promised, eg. translation, transportation, child care, etc.
* To ensure that we can feed and seat all who attend (space and $$ is limited).
* TO COLLECT INFORMATION THAT CAN BE USED FOR FUTURE WORK.  (This is the most 
important piece, as we intend for this vision to live beyond April 30th)
