  THE STRUGGLE CONTINUES!  Dismantling Racism in the Valley: Organizing Summit


Dear Friends:

Spring is finally here, and our April 30th organizing summit is approaching!  
An incredible day of music and spoken word, discussion and open mic, shared 
meals and strategizing is taking shape.


***  Please remember to fill out your application if you haven't already done 
so: the deadline is this FRIDAY, April 15th.  This deadline is important, to 
allow time for applications to be reviewed!  ******



Also note: we are working hard to make this FREE event nourishing and 
inspirational, with wheels to really go somewhere.  However, we are working 
from a LIMITED BUDGET! If you or some other generous person you know would like 
to CO-SPONSOR this event at any level and haven't yet made a pledge, please 
contact the fundraising committee at eellis at comcol.umass.edu, or Jo Comerford 
at afsc at crocker.com.  Co-sponsorship could be a personal donation, a donation 
from an organization or business you work with, or an in-kind contribution of 
volunteer hours, drinks, snacks, etc.


Please continue to spread the word (and the application) to other people in the 
valley who should be at the table for this conversation: youth, educators, 
students, activists, organizers, those who work daily towards racial justice.
