[Excalibur] Changeling!

To anyone it might perhaps concern,
I am, finally and at long last, considering running a game, if I can get people
who are interested. It will be, as those who have known me for awhile would
probably suspect, a Changeling game, but of a rather peculiar set-up. It would
be kind of large, in all probability (hopefully 8-12 people or so), only last
for a few sessions, somewhat less than five I would imagine, have a fairly
carefully defined plot, with a beginning and an end, and be, in all
probability, diceless. Now for the peculiar part:

the story, as far as I know so far, would center around the Chrysalis (for
those who aren't that familiar with the Changeling system, when an otherwise
seemingly-normal human discovers their faery blood/nature/whatever, that the
world they live in is not exactly s it seems, etc. etc.) of a very small group
of players, hopefully about 2 to 4. These would be the only real "Player
Characters", so to speak. Everyone else would be playing, in effect, an NPC (a
bit part, or character actor, setting the scene and propelling the events, not
one of the stars, if by some horrible mischance there's someone here who's not
familiar with basic role-playing terminology). I'd like ideally about 6-10 of
these people, whom I would meet with individually and possibly as a group and
try and hammer the story out with.

For the PCs I'd like people who maybe have some role-playing experience,
although this isn't essential, but people who are more interested in character
than stats, and who hopefully aren't all that familiar with the Changeling
system or world, or the White Wolf universe, etc. in general (though this isn't
really all that important). These characters wouldn't be made using any system,
would have no character sheets, etc. would just start out as normal people, but
interesting people, worth telling a story about, and I would rather like a
somewhat detailed description of their background, hopes, fears, aspirations,
likes, dislikes, obsessions, etc. It would probably be better for the NPCs to
have a bit more role-playing experience and to know the world a bit better, as
they will need actual character sheets, abilities, attributes, kith and all
that, and would have to be comfortable with having the sort of character
(probably of necessity kind of exaggerated and theatrical) who makes things
happen, rather than who has things happen to them. You could, however, be as
important or unimportant to the overall story as you liked, and wouldn't
necessarily have to participate in every session, but once again rather as many
as you wanted, if you wanted to make such an NPC. I have a copy of the book for
anyone who might need to borrow it, and I'm open to most anything you can think
of as a possible character idea.

I'm not really sure who all this is going to, or who exactly is on the list.
I'm assuming that it covers most anyone actually on or around G2, and a fair
number of other random-ish people who might be interested. I added a few other
email addresses of people who were off-campus or far away in the mods, but who
I thought might perhaps be interested; there's doubtless lots more who aren't
on the list, but I don't really know who they are, so I'll probably just be
talking about this to people on G2 and in the Middle Room, and so on if you
want to know more. Otherwise, if you're interested, an email would be nice, as
I'd like to know whether or not I'm likely to get enough people and thus how
much of my time it's worth wasting planning it out.

Cheers and all that,
Nick Moen
